Rachin Ravindra and Amelia Kerr took the top honors at the New Zealand Cricket Awards in Christchurch. Ravindra, only 24, became the youngest to win the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal for men’s cricket, while Kerr won the Debbie Hockley Medal for women’s cricket for the second consecutive year.

Ravindra’s exceptional season included scoring 578 runs at the ODI World Cup and hitting his first Test century, leading to New Zealand’s first Test series win against South Africa. Kerr dominated in both ODI and T20I formats, scoring heavily and taking key wickets, earning her multiple awards.

Kane Williamson was recognized as the Test player of the year, with significant runs including four hundreds. Daryl Mitchell and Mitchell Santner won the ODI and T20I player of the year awards, respectively. Trudy Anderson received the Bert Sutcliffe Medal for her contributions to cricket administration, highlighting her role in major cricket events in New Zealand.

The awards celebrated outstanding performances in New Zealand cricket, acknowledging the talent and hard work of players and contributors to the sport.
